State govt targets one cr participants Vijayawada: The state government is making elaborate arrangements to celebrate the 12th International Yoga Day under the banner of ‘Yogaandhra-2026,’ with a goal of involving one crore people across the state in yoga-related activities, health minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav announced on Monday. He noted that Andhra Pradesh’s yoga initiatives last year earned two Guinness World Records, 21 World Book of Records recognitions and a Skoch Award. Winners at district and state levels will receive prizes and outstanding performers will be invited to a special programme attended by Chief Minister N. The grand finale on June 21 will feature a mass yoga session involving 25,000 participants on the bridge across the Krishna River in Amaravati, with the Chief Minister expected to participate.
