Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-06

These Terms govern your use of K12 Times ("Service") at k12times.com. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or have verifiable parental/guardian consent if you are under 18. Schools may register on behalf of their students with appropriate authorisation.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity under it. Do not share credentials. Notify our Grievance Officer immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
  • Submit content that infringes any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
  • Impersonate another person, school, or organisation.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or stress-test the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Upload malware or attempt to compromise the Service's security or integrity.

4. User submissions & licence

You retain ownership of work you submit. You grant K12 Times a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, distribute, translate, and publicly display your submission within the Service (including in our newsletter and AI-readable summaries). You may withdraw this licence by deleting your submission, except for already-distributed newsletter copies.

5. Moderation

All submissions undergo automated and (where applicable) human moderation. We may remove content that violates these Terms, the law, or community standards, and may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations. We will give reasons on request and you may appeal to our Grievance Officer.

6. Intellectual property

The K12 Times name, logo, design, code, and aggregated database are owned by K12 Times. You may not copy or republish substantial portions of the Service without permission. News articles indexed from third-party sources remain the property of their original publishers; we link back to the source.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty of fitness, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. K12 Times is provided free of charge and we make no promise of service levels.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, K12 Times is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access to the Service for breach of these Terms, fraud, or to comply with the law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will publish changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
